So I haven't posted for a while! Tonight I'm on taxi duty, so while I'm waiting I thought I'd make a card with some scraps of paper I had. This time I have done a step by step approach. I don't know about you but when I sit down to make a card I have no idea how it will turn out? I never plan and even sometimes when I think I know what I want to make, I end up with something completely different...Im sure Im not the only one?? So here we go...I will give a list of the products used at the end.
I started with a blank 6x6 white card base and tinted the edges with gilding polish.
Next I trimmed some backing paper slightly smaller than 6x6 and distressed the edges with scissors, I then highlighted the distressed edges with a darker gilding polish. I wrapped some lace and twine around the backing paper attaching a gem filled glass charm to the twine. This was glued in place.
Next I die cut a border and glued this to the right edge of the card. Another scrap of paper was distressed with scissors and the edges highlighted with a darker gilding polish.
Next I applied gilding polish to a MDF frame and attached this to the front of the card. Rafia and pearl string was then also glued in place (I always use hot glue for this).
I then finished the card with a selection of paper flowers, some of which I made myself and some pearls. I don't attach a sentiment until I know what occasion I want to use the card for.
